What Sets Us Apart
Our expertise and unmatched customer service are just the beginning of what we’re all about. At the core of Volunteer Card is a heart to serve and provide help to those who are not able to help themselves. When you decide to partner with us and purchase a Volunteer Card, we will provide a meal to a refugee child in Southeast Asia.
Stemming from a passion to travel, our owner has traveled the world. In doing so, he discovered the immense need within underserved communities in Southeast Asia. As a result, he founded the non-profit organization, Venture. Since starting Venture, they have serve over 10 million meals, provided safe houses for those sold into sex slavery and have spread hope and love throughout the area.
Partnering with Volunteer Card not only provides you with excellent coverage on your trip. It gives you the opportunity to make a big difference in a child’s life.
What Is Venture?
We spend our greatest energy on the world’s greatest needs as an active resonse to the Gospel.
The Gospel Inspires Action
This is our core belief. The Gospel inspires, almost demands, action.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friend -John 15:12-13
Our Greatest Energy
We want to do more than click “like” on Facebook, buy a t-shirt, write a check, or feel deeply about causes we care about.
So, we do tough things, we sacrifice, we go the extra mile to help – in prayer, giving, serving, running, cycling or hiking. Through this we meet dire needs, restore dignity, and provide Christ’s hope.
“The victims of injustice in our world, need more than our spasm of charity, they need our long obedience in the same direction, they need our legs and lungs of endurance.” – Gary Haugen, UM
If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday. –Isaiah 58:10
The Greatest Needs
We desire to help the least resourced, least reached people in the world.
The least resourced includes trafficked people, slaves, child soldiers, impoverished, refugees and oppressed people. The physical needs are great for many of these people and we give our greatest energies to help.
We also recognize there are great spiritual needs in our world. So we serve in the least reached areas, places where there is less than 2% Christian nationals and where there is no Gospel literature in ethnic languages.
The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of these least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” –Matthew 25;40
