National Volunteer Week 2013
To show our gratitude towards all of you great volunteers, each business day from April 22-26, we’d like to provide a chance for you to win some cool stuff. But this is not your average giveaway contest! We selected prizes from like-minded organizations that are also in the business of giving back. We hope you love it as much as we do. Following are the giveaways for each day:
Day 1: Monday, April 22
What: ESPEROS Bags sells backpacks and other book bags to send children in need to school. How about a new backpack for your next adventure?
How to win: On Monday, visit ESPEROS’ website, pick out your favorite item, and leave a comment on Volunteer Card’s Facebook page telling us what bag you would buy and what adventure you would take it on.
Day 2: Tuesday, April 23
What: A $100 donation, in your name, to your favorite nonprofit organization. You have a cause that you care about. As a personal thank you, we’d love to give a $100 donation to the nonprofit of your choice.
How to win: Beginning on Tuesday, visit our blog and leave a comment telling us what non-profit you’d like the donation to go to and why.
Day 3: Wednesday, April 24
What: Warby Parker gives a pair of glasses to a person in need every time a pair of glasses is sold. How about some sweet new shades to start the summer of right?
How to win: Beginning on Wednesday you can find and follow International Volunteer Card on Pinterest and then tag us in your pin showing your favorite inspirational quote.
Day 4: Thursday, April 25
What: FIGS donates a school uniform to a child in need with every product sold. One of their amazing cashmere ties should be yours.
How to win: On Thursday, find and follow us on Twitter and then tweet us the answer to this question: What is your favorite mode of transportation when traveling abroad? Extra points if you include a picture of yourself traveling!
Day 5: Friday, April 26
What: In the spirit of traveling, we want to make it easy for you to stay connected while you are away. So we are giving away an iPad Mini!
How to win: On Friday take these two steps: 1) Visit our blog and leave a comment telling us about your favorite organization to volunteer for. 2) Use Facebook to tag us or @volunteercard to mention us in a picture of yourself volunteering.
